New for 2027 – an exciting new era!

The Barfoot & Thompson Bay of Plenty 5-Course Classic returns in 2027 with an exciting new look – including Fairview Golf & Country Club added to the course line-up, a new welcoming clubhouse at Omokoroa Golf Club overlooking one of the beautiful bays of the Bay of Plenty, and a new Stroke Play competition has been introduced alongside our traditional five-day Stableford competition.

Come and experience five championship golf courses over five exciting days. Mount golf course is ranked among New Zealand’s Top 40 courses and, along with Tauranga, Omokoroa, Omanu and Fairview, the clubs have regularly hosted national events. Tauranga and Mount courses annually host events on the NZ Charles Tour. Omanu has been a popular host venue for the Golf NZ Men’s and Women’s Mid-Am Championships, while Omokoroa has hosted the Golf NZ Women’s Autumn Foursomes and numerous national veterans’ tournaments.

Celebrating its 32nd year in 2027, the Classic continues its proud tradition of bringing golfers together from across New Zealand and around the world, creating lasting friendships, unforgettable memories and showcasing the very best of Bay of Plenty golf.
