Dear Tauranga Golf Club Cart Users,

We hope this email finds you well and enjoying your time on the course. As stewards of safety and enjoyment for all our members and visitors, we want to bring to your attention some important hazards and guidelines regarding cart usage on our course.

Please take note of the following hazards:

  1. All Slopes: Some areas of the course feature slopes that can pose a risk, particularly when navigating with a golf cart. Exercise caution and maintain control while traversing these areas.
  2. 2nd Tee: Please do not drive up on to the 2nd tee. All carts must park at the bottom of the stairs and players must walk up to the tee.
  3. 3rd Hill: Be cautious when approaching and navigating the 3rd hill, as it can present challenges for cart users. Please stay on the ashphalt path.
  4. 5th Tee: Exercise particular care at the 5th tee. On Thursday, two members unfortunately experienced an accident where their cart rolled on the 5th tee. We're grateful that there were no serious injuries, but this serves as a reminder of the importance of staying vigilant and following safety guidelines. Please park carts in the area designated for cart/trundler parking and walk to the tee.
  5. 12th Hole: Be mindful of hazards on the 12th hole, and take appropriate precautions while navigating this area. All carts should park adjacent to the 13th tee and players should walk to the green.

In light of the recent incident and to ensure the safety of all golfers, we kindly remind all cart users of the following guidelines:

  • Stay on Paths: Please keep golf carts on designated paths at all times. This helps preserve the course and ensures a smoother experience for all players.
  • Do Not Drive on Tees: Avoid driving carts on tees, as this can damage the turf and impact the playability of the course.
  • Maintain Distance: Keep a safe distance of at least 10 meters away from greens, bunkers, and tees to prevent any inadvertent damage.

By adhering to these guidelines and exercising caution, we can all contribute to a safer and more enjoyable golfing experience for everyone. Thank you for your cooperation and commitment to safety.

If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out to the club management or staff.
