Hi Ladies,

Firstly a huge Congratulations to Adrienne Coad who became a Life Member of Tauranga Golf Club at the recent AGM. Such a great honour for Adrienne and well deserved.

Thank you to everyone who played and donated for the Pink Breast Cancer Tauranga Tournament last week. I hope you all enjoyed the day and the format.
We raised $2000 for the Charity. Awesome effort, thank you to the committee and Noelene for all your efforts and also to Jim for his generous donation of the Titliest bag which was raffled and won by Richard Craven and Hayden for the playing lesson raffle won by Richard Craven, Tony Breeds and Alison Wieringa.

Masters Sunday was a fun day, well done to Theresa Kim who won in the Women’s field, she was presented with the Una Wickam Blazer for the year.
And to Roger Athy-Knibbs who won the Green Blazer in the Men’s field.
Thank you to the Clubroom for organising the day.

WGNZ Homelinks Teams Final was played Monday May 2nd at Hauraki Golf Club, thank you to Sharyn Cooke, Leanne Smith, Orana Harris and Doris Basher for representing Tauranga Golf Club. Well done ladies coming 3= which equated to 6th place on countback. Great effort.

Also thank to the 15 ladies who went across to Cambridge Golf Club on 2nd May to play in the annual Interclub Competition between Tauranga, Rotorua, Cambridge. Cambridge won the day followed by Tauranga. Next year it’s Tauranga’s turn to host this event.

Unfortunately we didn’t fair well with the Association Pennants this year and we’re hoping to make a come back with the Silver / Bronze Pennants which is now underway. Monday’s round was postponed due to horrendous weather so hopefully we can make a comeback in the final 2 rounds. Thank you to Lindy for organising the teams and to all the players. Good luck ladies.

Saturday ladies pennants has just finished and congratulations to the Tauranga team who came 2nd to Omokoroa losing by 1 point…. so close! Well done to all the players who represented our Club.

Jim has advised the Club Jerseys have arrived, these are just in the process of being logoed, so they will be available shortly. And unfortunately, the 82 club shirts that we ordered couldn’t be supplied from the supplier so we are currently waiting on the new season range to come out before we decide on another shirt.

One final reminder to check the notice board downstairs if you have entered any matches. Please make sure you get these played on time.

Good golfing ladies
Jayne
