Welcome back to Tuesday Seniors after what has been a most unusual situation. The next few weeks will be a settling in period for all of us as we adapt to the changed environment we live and play in.
This is the first of a regular update we will have for our group specifically. As we comprise a large proportion of ‘vulnerable’ members, we must remain ever cautious of threats real or possible.
Tuesday Play Changes
For the next few weeks we will run a simple competition based around the sponsorship we have which will mean just a few ‘Clubroom’ vouchers. There will be no rundown prizes nor will the be any weekly cost to play at this time. That means no raffles, nearest the pin, straight drive or longest putt will be featured.
Tuesday Check-in
It is essential that we maintain sensible social distancing as a habit and you will see around the club premises marker showing spacings. Where other areas are unmarked, apply the same common-sense practice.
When you check in at the table, we will note your presence and ask you about playing the following week. We’ll create the following week draw from there.
Card Printing
You card will be pre-printed if you are in the draw. That will be with the starter who will be at the window in the Pro-shop. Report there as you would normally and take the card
Card Returns
Only you sign the card but add the number of your playing partner after you have agreed the scoring. There is no scanning and you will find a drop-off point where cards can be returned for subsequent entry.
Prizegiving
Anticipating that a number of players will play and depart relatively quickly, there will be no formal prizegiving. If you win something, that reward will go to Jim at the Pro-Shop where he will enter it against your account and send you an email notice. We endeavour to report results on a regular basis by this medium but you will also see a record of your success in your ‘mygolf’ records online.
Events
For obvious reasons some events will cease in the short term, no Ambrose for example. The rest of the programme for the year will simply carry on from the dates published, nothing retrospective.
