INSIDE THE BUBBLE
Just a quick hello and update on a few things.

I trust that you are all safe & sound in your bubbles?
I'm enjoying the daily Les Mills classes on TV1, walks or cycle rides around the block and watching far too much TV! I'm not enjoying having to cook dinner every night and seeing my grandchildren over the fence and not being able to hug them or pat their dog :(

I am still doing a wee bit of work from home - keeping a watchful eye on the club finances, fielding emails and wondering how you are all coping without your golf! Please keep in touch with your golf mates by phone as some of them may be in a single bubble and getting a bit lonely.

AGM
You will be aware that our AGM was scheduled for 29 April. As we are not sure if we will be able to hold the AGM on this date, we have deferred until this can be confirmed. The existing Board will be retained until then. Also, our annual Financial Statements have been completed, but our auditors are currently unable to sign them off due to financial uncertainties relating to Covid-19. Once these issues are resolved, I will update you further.

ON COURSE
NZ Golf have been working hard to obtain approval from MBIE for Turf Maintenance to be considered an essential service. This has not been approved, so at the moment, no work has been done on the course since the lockdown. Our Course Superintendent, Chris Posa, had taken precautionary measures pre lockdown, applying growth regulator & fungicide. Once we know a date that work can commence again, The Board and Chris will need to consider a recovery plan. In the meantime, we are all staying home, staying safe and trying not to worry about something that we have no control over.

Stay Safe and Be Kind

Warm Regards
Michelle Towersey
Club Manager

COURSE CLOSED REMINDER
Just a friendly reminder that the Course and Practice facilities are all closed and you are not permitted to play or practice golf as part of your daily exercise. I know this is incredibly frustrating for some of you, but we are all in this together.
I have had several complaints from members of the public and the Police who have seen people out playing golf. I can only assume this is non members, but just in case you feel the urge, please be advised that the Police do have authority to trespass anyone they see out playing golf. As an industry, we are looking for support from the government to enable us to maintain our facilities, golfers flouting the rules will not help this cause.
Thanks everyone

Hi everyone,

Hope you are all doing okay and that are finding unique ways to continue your golf fix or at least replacing the golf addiction withdrawal symptoms with an equally positive activity.

During this time there is no need to put any injuries, aches or pains on hold as our Bay Physio Centre is still able to consult with you by phone or video link under Telehealth protocols.

It’s also a great time to get advice about golf specific exercises and routines as when the day does come, your all set to go.

Don’t hesitate to contact me on enquiries@bayphysiotherapy.co.nz or 0211895761.

JAY CARTER & DAVID GALBRAITH - LIVE CHAT

David Galbraith and Jay Carter are doing a podcast on Facebook live on Monday 8pm (NZ Time), to tune in like the Facebook page @TalkingPerformance
David has worked with many of the countries finest athletes over the last decade in the mental skills space and is highly regarded in this field.

It will be a relatively informal chat where we discuss the current state and how it is affecting us all.

We will be doing them frequently over the lockdown period and if there is anything you want to discuss or ask DG you can use the facebook page to let us know.
