Following the Prime Ministers announcement today, we are now in the process of closing down our facilities to comply with Alert 4 criteria. The Golf Course, Bar, Cafe & ProShop are now closed and all tee bookings have been cancelled. If you have golf clubs stored in the trundler shed, and you would like to collect them, the Trundler shed will be open from 9am - 3pm tomorrow (Tuesday). We have switched off all charging points to avoid over charging and minimise fire risk. If you choose to leave your clubs here, please be aware that this is at your own risk. The Cart Shed will also be locked and all charging points disconnected. If you wish to take your private Cart home, please do this between 9am & 3pm Tuesday. We will be locking the gates, so access will be restricted. Private Carts will also not be allowed to be used on course while we are closed down. I appreciate that some of you may wish to come out and play golf as your chosen method of excercising. We are taking advice on this as we do have concerns about the Health & Safety of members being here while there are no staff on site. In the meantime, the Greens staff will be removing flags and tee markers and the course is officially closed. There is some essential work that has to be done by greens staff to maintain the greens and tees, so we anticipate that they will be working on the course as required. These are unprecedented times and we are still working out how this will all impact on the club. We ask for your patience and consideration - we are all in this together. For your information, the Racing Club has been commandeered by the DHB and will be the Tauranga COVID-19 Testing Site. Traffic management will be in place and if you do try to come to the club, you may experience some delays. The slip road that is opened for race days will be the main access into the Club. You will notice marquees, coned off areas and marshalls directing traffic. Please be patient & courteous. This is another reason why we would prefer that you avoid coming here unless absolutely necessary.
