We continue to receive updates & recommendations on how we manage our facilities at this time. Our focus is on the Health and Safety of our members and staff, and our social responsibility to help minimise the spread of this virus. In this respect and based on the updated advice from the government, we must now insist that ALL MEMBERS who have returned from International travel in the last 14 days MUST STAY AWAY. Our Ladies Captain, Lindy Bryant, has just returned from the US and in isolation. Her email to me as follows: Having just returned from the USA today, I have seen first hand the devastation and impact this dreadful virus is having and believe me this is only the beginning. We here in New Zealand have the ability to minimise its spread and everything we can do right now will enhance our ability to prevent the virus from taking hold. Kind regards. Lindy Bryant (currently in isolation for 14 days) Some other points to note: - We have rearranged the furniture in the Clubhouse. Tables are now set with 4 chairs to address social distancing. Please don't join up tables or add chairs.
- Please bring your own water bottle or buy bottled drinks from the Cafe or Pro Shop. The drinking fountains on course should not be used at this time.
- Shared Platters have been removed from the Cafe menu. Individual fish n chip meals will be available.
We will continue to update you as information comes to hand. In the meantime, we reiterate that if you have travelled within the last 14 days, please stay away from the golf club. Please limit your social contact & if you feel unwell or concerned about your health at the Club, please stay home. We are expecting an update on small gatherings which could apply to our prizegivings and clubhouse operations. We have a plan to address this and will implement this as necessary.
