Opening Day - 2nd February

 

·         This will be the same as last year’s Opening Day Ambrose with clubs limited to Irons, Hybrids and the Putter. (No Drivers or Woods)

·         Play off of the Blue Tees

·         Four Man Ambrose teams

·         Four Drives per player

·         All four players can hit from tee to green

·         Once on the green, teams can putt to either hole

·         Open to Morning and Afternoon players

·         All afternoon play to be Ambrose only

·         $5 per player entry fee

·         The top 12 teams will receive individual Meat Packs

·         Enter your Team at the Pro-shop

·         If you don’t have a team then give your name to the Pro-shop and they will do their best to find you a spot.

 

 

 

The Plumbing World Shootout

 

·         The Thursday field starts on 14th February

·         The Saturday field starts on 16th February

·         $1,000 first prize

·         The entry fee will remain at $30 for the chosen day

·         Players can enter for both days; 2 x $30

·         The Shootout Final will be held on 1st December (change of date to avoid clash with Fridge’s golf tour)

 

 

Committee Members will start taking names and distributing entry envelopes on Opening Day and every Thursday and Saturday up to and including March 9th. You can also enter the competition by way of the screen, within the Pro-shop, up to March 9th.

We will be the only Club entering eight teams

 

On Sunday 3rd February we will be holding a social get together for those who are already on the list for Pennants and for those of you who would like to be considered or to find out more detail before you can commit. We will start the afternoon at 1:30pm with 18 holes of golf, off of a three tee start, followed by a team talk and Q&A session in the Clubhouse. Please do just roll up, it is going to be a fun afternoon followed by a few beers. We already enjoy the reputation of being the Club that they all want to beat and this year we will be entering teams in every division, which makes us the only Club in the Bay that can do this. This, of course, means that the ‘target’ on our backs has just got bigger!   Each team manager will be putting together a squad of eight players and we will be out there determined to go for a clean sweep of all eight Pennants. Bring it on!

 

 

Out of Bounds/Lost Ball

 

The stroke and distance rule still applies. However, you can use the new local rule if you wish.

 

Penalty Areas  

From the 4th of February there will be 2 changes to the course. The 3rd hole will have a penalty area on the right hand side (bush and trees)

 

The second change will be the front 4th tee. The out of bounds will now become a red penalty area.
