New Board Positions - Profiles
We are very pleased to be welcome 2 new people onto the Board - Tony Breeds as Club Captain and Kerry McFadyen as a Board Member.
A few words from Tony & Kerry:

Tony Breeds - Club Captain

I would consider it an absolute honour and privilege to lead a group of skilled people that we have in various positions around our great club. I will take advisement and listen to all proposals and recommendations from them, in a way decisions can be made for the betterment of the club and its members. I would like to see the Players Committee all working together and making collective decisions as a “team” to maintain and enhance the Golf experience that the TGC offers.

On a personal level, I have an innate ability to be able to laugh at myself, which defines who I am, having been involved in the hospitality industry for many years I bring a level of friendliness and respect to everything I am involved with. While lacking certain strengths in some areas, what I offer is loyalty and I consider myself a total team player, I also have the ability to be able to source knowledge from some of the most revered and respected club members who I am absolutely sure will give me guidance and help if called upon. In closing, as I have never considered myself as a “front person” and always been more comfortable in the kitchen or behind a bar ( pouring not drinking) I am putting my shiny head above the parapet for principles I believe in and for our club moving forward,

so thank you all Tony Breeds

Kerry McFadyen - Board Member

I am excited to be elected to the Tauranga Golf Club Board position, as I see this as an opportunity to help steer the club and to be part of the continuing progressive direction of the club. It is a great opportunity to be able to give back and support the Club and its governance, having had an association with the Tauranga Golf Club as a family for a number of years. It is my intention to represent your interests as a fellow member by bringing fair representation to Board level.

My current role as the HR and Health and Safety Manager for the Realty Group enables me to offer my area of expertise to the Board and the Club.

I look forward to working with the fellow Board members.
