The Board of Management wish to advise the annual subscriptions for the 2018/2019 membership year will increase by 1.7% plus a $10 Building maintenance levy. Subscription invoices will be issued in January 2018.

These increases ensure that we keep in line with annual cost of living increases and the continued increase in compliance costs. We have already received advice from NZ Golf and BOP Golf that our levies are increasing by CPI, so these increases are reflected in the new subscriptions. The Board have also decided that we need to start provisioning for some significant maintenance costs that will be required in the next few years. In particular, the Clubhouse is now 17 years old and we will need to look at repainting inside and out, roof repairs, carpet replacement and furniture upgrade in the near future. In this respect, a sinking fund will be established and a Building Maintenance Levy of $10 per person will be included in your subscription invoice.

The Board are committed to providing a Club that we can all be proud of. We continue to focus on our Course Development plan which will see a further Fairway conversion in 2018. We are also very excited about the conversion of our greens to “Pure Distinction” Creeping Bentgrass. This project is well underway and we look forward to a more consistent and superior playing surface. Membership numbers are very healthy with approximately 900 members. Casual golfers continue to enjoy our off peak green fee times and overall, the club is in very good health.
