Well it’s hard to believe the end of the season is almost upon us and by the end of the month we’ll be into Summer Golf.

We have a busy few weeks ahead, now that finals day is complete, this week is the LGU Buttons, good luck to the girls that won an LGU OR TWO during the year and are playing off for the Buttons. Next Wednesday 8th November is the Ladies Shootout, thank you once again to Mike King and Motor Trade Finance Fraser Street for sponsoring this event. Play well everyone and fingers crossed for a fine day!!!

Monday 6th November is the Lady Vets Artisan Pairs, thank you to Artisan Jewellers for sponsoring this event. Tuesday 7th November is Melbourne Cup day, the Senior Men have organised the day, don’t forget your fancy hats ladies.

Monday 13th is the the Champ of Champs at Ohope, good luck to Jodae Ngaheu, Julie Eagle and Jayne King.

Tuesday 14th is the Charity Fun day organised by the Senior Men, which is an Ambrose event $20 per player with the proceeds going to the Stroke Foundation.

Wednesday 15th November is the last day of the season for the Wednesday ladies. This will be a fun day.

Also make sure you have Friday 17th November in your diaries, this year we are planning on playing 9 holes of golf starting at 1.30pm – all ladies from the Club are invited to play. We will then have our AGM at 5.30pm followed by the 18 hole prizegiving. I will have a sheet to put your names up if you want to play on the day, otherwise come along at 5.30pm for the AGM and Prizegiving.

A huge thank you to Jackie Reynish & Noelene Dynes who with a group of helpers, Jo Dawkins, Bron Boughtwood, Jane Church, Margaret Mabey, 9 hole ladies, Ron Moore, Grant Whittaker, Keith Dawkins, Murray Clarke, and Don Morris had the garden’s looking great before Finals Day – well done to you all.

Thank you to Gaye Hart for helping me clean the club house windows, super job they’re looking spik and span!

Awesome effort everyone, and many thanks to J and Scott for his efforts in organising the day, also the Greenkeepers for our course and its condition despite all the rain!!! And the Caterers we appreciate all the lovely food.

Thank you to Jo Dawkins and Viv Couglan for representing Tauranga at the Bronze 2 Champs of Champs at Taupo. Also to their caddies Chris and Margaret Oakly and Adrienne who was the support crew - well done ladies.

We have had another couple of our ladies join the 80 Club, so congratulations to you both Wendy Plucke, and Jackie Burton – great to see you both still enjoying your golf and being active.

It was also fabulous to have Joyce Edwards come and join us for Lunch a couple Wednesdays ago and Hazel and Phyll, our Life members were both at the finals day prizegiving last Saturday. Hazel was looking really well and enjoying the company and the Food!
