9-HOLE GOLF PROGRAMMES

SInce 1998, Tauranga Golf Club has successfully run a Womens 9-Hole Golf Programme for beginners. The aim of the programme is to promote membership and participation by teaching basic golfing schools through group coaching clinics run by Resident Professionals. On completion of the coaching phase, players then progressively graduate to 9-Hole Competition under the supervision of experienced women golfers. Originally intended as a feeder programme for 18-Hole golf, the 9-Hole Programme has proven to be an attractive option for players who enjoy the game but have not got the time for a full round of golf. We now have over 150 9-Hole Women golfers, and in mid-2004 commenced a mens Golf Development Programme along similar lines to the Womens programme.

We are now able to offer 9-Hole handicaps for both men and women.
