9-HOLE
GOLF PROGRAMMES
SInce
1998, Tauranga Golf Club has successfully run a Womens 9-Hole Golf
Programme for beginners. The aim of the programme is to promote membership
and participation by teaching basic golfing schools through group
coaching clinics run by Resident Professionals. On completion
of the coaching phase, players then progressively graduate to 9-Hole
Competition under the supervision of experienced women golfers. Originally
intended as a feeder programme for 18-Hole golf, the 9-Hole Programme
has proven to be an attractive option for players who enjoy the game
but have not got the time for a full round of golf. We now have over
150 9-Hole Women golfers, and in mid-2004 commenced a mens Golf Development
Programme along similar lines to the Womens programme.
We are now able to offer 9-Hole handicaps for both men and women.
DRESS
CODE & BEHAVIOUR
Tauranga
golf Club welcomes visitors and new members. We expect a high standard
of dress and behaviour both on the Course and in the Clubhouse, and
Club Members are responsible for the behaviour and dress standards
of their guests. The Player Committees are responsible for the dress
standards and behaviour of players during organised competition and
may set their own standards. Bare feet, work boots, singlets, rugby
or beach style shorts and dirty or unkempt clothing are not acceptable
dress either on the course or in the Clubhouse. Any footwear worn
on the course is not permitted in the Club Lounge/Dining Room area.
Failure to comply with acceptable standards of behaviour or dress
may result in your being asked to leave the Course or the Clubhouse.
Members and officials are encouraged to remind others that our dress
standards and behaviour standards must be complied with.

The Club
has had a smokefree policy since 2001. Smoking is not permitted in
any part of the Clubhouse or other Club buildings. Smoking areas are
provided on the main decks and under the Clubhouse.
