HANDBOOK:

The long awaited and much anticipated Handbook is now available. If you haven't already collected a copy, please call in and see me. There is a supply at the front door table in the clubhouse. Apologies for the delay in producing the bboklet - there were a variety of reasons why it was delayed and I won't bore you all with a million and one excuses! However, lessons have been learnt.
PS - we are no longer doing bag tags or stickers.

MEMBER BENEFIT:

Not only do we provide you with a spectacular golf course to enjoy, we also have a fabulous Clubhouse. We are keen to see the Clubhouse facilities used alot more and in this respect the Board have agreed to offer the following "Member Benefit": If you wish to hold a private function - ie Wedding, Birthday etc we will waive the standard Hire Costs (usually $500). This is conditional upon using the Bar and Catering services. So if you are planning an event, talk to Jane or myself about what we can provide.

MASTERS MONDAY:

We had a great turnout on Easter Monday to watch the final round of the US Masters. Breakfast was served (sorry about the scrambled eggs disaster), the Golf was exciting, the weather was stunning and a good time was had by all. William Coxhead was the winner on the day - I'm sure there were tears of joy and great celebrations in the Coxhead house that night!

ANZAC DAY and POPPY DAY:

Friday 20 April is Poppy Day. Golf Fusion will be holding an all day Pros Haggle with all proceeds going to the RSA Poppy Day appeal. Please come along and support this cause. Following on from that - we will be holding an ANZAC Day Tournament on Wednesday 25 April. The Juniors will be running a sausage sizzle from 12 noon and then tee off from 12.30pm. More details to follow and registration sheets will be in the Pro Shop and clubhouse soon.

GREENS STAFF:

Oliver Coxhead has recently completed his apprenticeship and he is now a fully qualified Greenkeeper - Well Done Ollie, you can take the training wheels off the mower now.
Carl Rumble has celebrated the birth of his 4th child recently - well done Carl and Mrs Carl.
Kirky has paid the ultimate price for not adequately stretching and warming up before he kicks a soccer ball around with a bunch of kids...he has snapped his achilles tendon and will be off work for several weeks enjoying the delights of daytime television and nana naps. We wish him a speedy recovery. Sam Davis is helping out the boys while Kirky is away.

RULES COURSE:

Golf is an easy game and the rules of golf are simple- YEAH RIGHT!! We all struggle with the rules from time to time and many a debate has raged in the clubhouse following confusion about how to interpret the rules. So, make it easy on yourself and enrol in a Rules Course. Registrations are now open for the 2012 Rules Course which start on 2nd May. I have entry forms in the office, so get in quick as registrations close Friday 22 April. I can certainly recommend the course and it is a really good idea to gather up a group of friends and do it together! The Director of Golf will be doing it...(is this another Tui Billboard John??)

GRAFFITTI:

Yes it's school holidays and the kids obviously have nothing better to do. We have suffered a bit of damage in the last few days. A clean up is underway as we speak. This is very frustrating to say the least. If you see anyone on the course with a spray can in their hand - feel free to use your weapon of choice on the little blighters (well maybe just whip out your cellphone and photograph them so we can track them down)

Great Golfing everyone and as always, we welcome your feedback and input.
