The Wednesday Ladies Cool Link Shootout took place today, 16th November.  Although we started out in rather damp conditions, the day improved and so did the golf!

The ladies either played the holes really well to maintain their position or really badly which eliminated two ladies per hole up until the 5th hole where the first shootout occurred.  The 7th and 9th holes again needed a shootout and then the final three played up the 10th. The 8th hole was closed from play for then day which saw us finishing on the 11th.

Sheryl Crawford, Kathy Gregg and Margaret Oakly were the final three with Sheryl going out on the 10th leaving the remaining two to play the last hole. Margaret's tee shot was a short one with Kathy' well down the fairway.  Kathy putted on for her 4th shot and Margaret chipped on for five but closer to the hole. Kathy putted first and tapped in for 6 and Margaret missed her putt giving the win to Kathy.

It was a great day and some excellent golf played.  Kathy had just slipped on to the ladder because Peg Copestake was away in Australia and so was delighted to win.  She thoroughly deserved the win, playing consistently all day as did the runner up Margaret.
