WELCOME to the Men Veterans’ web page. On this page you will find information about the activities of the Tauranga Veteran Golfers’ Society and the programme for its 170 members, including news, upcoming events and results.

Veterans’ Web Page
The web page is managed by the Club’s General Manager (Grant Scoones) with input from the Veterans’ Committee and members. We hope that it will provide you with the information you will find helpful in enhancing your membership of the Club and the Veterans and in keeping you informed. If you would like to suggest material for inclusion in this web page, please contact the President or Secretary.

Join the Men Veterans
To be eligible to play men Veterans’ Golf you must be aged 55+ and be a financial member of the Tauranga Golf Club. If you are interested in joining the Veterans please contact the Secretary or another Committee member. The Annual Joining Fee for the Veterans is currently $10.

Veterans’ Programme
The regular play of the Veterans is each Tuesday, using multiple tee starts and with start times from 11.30 am to approximately 12.15 pm. During each Tuesday’s play the draw is prepared for the following week and is available then in the Club House as well as later on the Club’s web site.

A late inclusion in the draw, or a withdrawal from the scheduled draw, may be arranged by telephoning the Club Secretary at 578 8465 ext 3.

In keeping with the Club policy, four is the maximum number of players in a group teeing off together. Typically the Tuesday field is about 100 players. The competition programme is varied and with the support of sponsors there is a generous allocation of prizes each day.

There is also a programme of interclub fixtures on a home and away basis with four other Clubs (Omanu, Omokoroa, Matamata, and Mount Maunganui). These events are spread throughout the year.

Upcoming Events
A major event in the Veterans’ Calendar is the annual two-day sponsored tournament. This year’s event is on Monday 29 March (12 noon start) and Tuesday 30 March (8.30 am start). Entry is $25.00 and as a result of valuable sponsorship by Tauranga Mitre 10 Mega, there will be a generous allocation of prizes.

Fixtures later in the year are scheduled also with Mount Maunganui and Matamata Clubs.
